Hard to say.What's unusual about this first snow is the timing. We still have vividly-tinted golden and orange trees, here and there. The combination of autumn foliage and white snow is strange...yet beautiful. It's a sunny, blue-sky day. I had occasion to take a long country drive through hilly terrain with mountain vistas. We transported our Old Town kevlar canoe, which has lived at the Lodge for many, many years. We weren't using it on the little lake here so decided it would be more useful on the Big Lake. On the day of our departure, I believe Heathrow was the only airport open in Britain, due to the massive amounts of snow piling up.
