"It was imprudent of us, in the first place, to become authors. We could have become something regular, but we managed not to.
We were lucky, but we were also determined." Roy Blount Jr

"I don’t change the facts to enhance the drama. I think of it the other way round, the drama has got to fit the facts,
and it’s your job as a writer to find the shape in real life."
Hilary Mantel

Hallelujah!

My annual video of the "Hallelujah Chorus" from Sunday evening's performance of Messiah. This year I got caught up in the moment and sort of forgot to zoom in like I did last year.

It was spectacular and spine-tingling. Which probably doesn't translate.

Today I had a legislative committee Chairs & Vice Chairs meeting, my Chair and I received the bills headed our way and scheduled our public hearing and executive session days. Then I went Christmas shopping--along with just about everybody in the Capitol region. I've never seen stores so crowded at 11:15 in the morning! I didn't get the memo--is the recession now over?

Blizzard arriving tomorrow morning, should be an interesting event. I only have one outing, and I have every intention of cancelling. Will the storm live up to the hype? Stay tuned!
