
I can see this view from inside the house, but when I step onto the deck in the fresh air, it takes my breath away. No photo can do these colours justice, I fear. The sky is unbelievably blue, the trees amazingly vivid.

The Autumn Joy sedum has joyfully changed from rose to rust.

And yes, even my mixed-up forsythia, who thinks early October weather is akin to late April.
