P.M. Update: Scary Stuff

We found out there's a sci fi convention in town--fans, authors, vendors, etc. have descended on the nearby convention centre. Many participants are staying at our hotel, and others are walking about the the streets.

They must feel right at home, considering some of the strange phenomena we've seen.

The spiders are large enough to scale tall buildings.



Some of them are suicidal!



We saw scary dolls in a shop window.



Sparkle the lizard was so terrified she didn't leave my handbag all night. Not even when we dined at an Indian restaurant.

However, this street name made me feel right at home.



I've been to this city countless times...and this could turn out to be one of the oddest visits yet! Stay tuned.
