We got hot on our walk, so we went in the water at the little beach.
Jewel thinks about swimming while Lola cools off.

Still thinking about it, as Olympic hopeful Ruth swims circles round her.

Jewel did actually paddle around for the first time--not sure it counts as swimming. Then the ripe wild blueberries on the shore distracted her, just like at our house. Thievery!

When we returned, I went swimming from the dock. (While Jewel ate more blueberries and some huckleberries.) The water is 80 degrees warm, only 8 degrees difference from the air. (88 degrees at 1 p.m.) Usually when in the lake, the water's so cold I'm seeking the warm spot. Today, I wanted a cool place to swim but never found it.
The spiders have been busy.
